My name is Imani and I’m the founder of “Cherry Orchard crafts”.
The tagline “join the vibe” is inviting you to join in the small community I’ve built on Instagram. We vibe in the comments and stories.
But how did you start the vibe?
In 2025 I attended a dozen creative workshops such as pottery throwing, using jesmonite, candle making and wreath making. This opened up the creative flair I had absolutely no idea I had, having spent my adult life working in corporate.
In August 2026 I woke up one day and started to sketch. I’m not good at drawing, but knew I wanted to create something beautiful.
Why do the product colours have romantic names?
I still believe in love, so I wanted to bring love and romance to my products somehow.
What’s in a name?
The name “Cherry Orchard” comes from a connector road in my UK home town that led to a string of neighbourhood shops: a chemist, post office, hairdresser, green grocer, dry cleaners, off license and beauty parlor.
Being allowed to ride my bike with my friends along Cherry Orchard Road to buy magazines and penny sweets was a symbol of freedom and venturing into the unknown.
So what now?
Here I am in my mid 30s venturing into the unknown once again.

Making home decor has brought me so much peace and joy. Seeing my handmade, custom coloured pieces in people’s homes gives me such indescribable joy.
